The Society for Endocrinology (www.endocrinology.org) has selected oomi as the supplier of its new association management system to help it achieve its future objectives.
The Society was formed in 1946 and exists to advance the understanding of endocrinology. Its work centres on bringing together the endocrine community, providing support for scientists, doctors, nurses and associated professionals working in the field of hormones. The Society also engages policy-makers, journalists, patients and the public with hormone science to demonstrate the value of endocrinology, and enable people to make more informed decisions about their health.
“Looking at how we wanted to meet our strategic objectives into the future we made the decision to look for a modern flexible system that would support us in these aims”, explained Sarah Don-Bramah, Director of Membership Engagement at the Society.
“The Society’s current database was functional but did not allow us to develop or evolve our membership offering to better support our 3000 members. We had made strides in certain areas such as the redefinition of our membership categories to better match their needs, however our existing system could not support the continuous development we required.”
The oomi team will implement the oomi CRM membership management system, including the functional modules to support subscriptions, events, and committees, along with oomi‘s integrated members’ portal that will help drive better member experience and self-service. Personalised email communications will be enabled through a tight integration with oomi and Dotdigital.
Don-Bramah explained the selection process and why oomi were chosen: “After a thorough process to identify our requirements for now and into the future, we invited four well respected organisations to tender for our business; two of whom we shortlisted for further discussions. Although both shortlisted suppliers could provide us with the system that would deliver our requirements, oomi really stood out for us from a relationship perspective. We want a partner who we can work with side by side, and oomi overwhelmingly demonstrated that they could do that with our stakeholders across the organisation.”
“We have enjoyed working with the oomi team so far and look forward to the implementation stage, which is about to start,” Don-Bramah continued. “They have listened to our needs at every stage, kept in touch throughout so that we always know what to expect next, and have been open and flexible at all points. “
Joel Trotman, Director of Sales at oomi, commented: “It’s great to be working with Sarah and her team. We always focus on ensuring that we build a positive and collaborative relationship with our customers right from the start and are delighted that the Society recognise and value this approach. We look forward to continuing our work together to help them achieve their future objectives.”
