The Landscape Institute (LI), the chartered body for the landscape profession, has selected oomi as a long-term technology partner to create a better experience and improve efficiencies for its members, staff and partners.
The LI is an educational charity that promotes the art and science of landscape practice. The LI’s aim, through the work of its members, is to protect, conserve and enhance the natural and built environment for the public benefit. The LI provides a professional home for all landscape practitioners including landscape scientists, landscape planners, landscape architects, landscape managers and urban designers.
After a full investigation and assessment concluded that its current IT infrastructure and capability was not fit for purpose, and after a rigorous selection process, the LI selected oomi to implement a new CRM web infrastructure and a program of improvement within its operational teams.
“oomi has demonstrated extensive experience in working with membership bodies and creating complex systems to cater for different audiences and their needs,” said Neelam Sheemar, Head of Marketing, Communications and Events at the LI. “They truly understood the needs of our membership, staff and stakeholders. Their proposal highlighted an ecosystem with clear integration of a new CRM, CMS and other systems, as well as the resources needed to maintain and future-proof our operational framework.”
The scope and ambition of the project is wide with the overall aim of providing an easy and accessible member self-service and effective communications which will unlock greater value for staff, members and stakeholders.
oomi will implement the oomi CRM and integrated content management system (CMS) for multiple websites and members’ portal. It will deliver functionality for relationship management, accreditation, events, sales, finance, committees, and case management. There will be integrations with other key business systems, such as MS PowerBI, email management, SagePay, Sage 50 and Direct Debits.
“These will ensure better communication and engagement with our members, staff and stakeholders, leveraging improvements to ensure an efficient and dynamic operation,” commented Neelam Sheemar, Head of Marketing, Communications and Events.
Through their proven partnership approach, oomi will work with the LI to create automated processes and dentify cost savings by further reducing the number of software packages used.
Naomi Taylor, Acting Commercial Director, as LI said: “We are delighted to be partnering with oomi and are excited to be moving towards a better service for both our valued members and staff team to provide a much better and more efficient member experience.”
Rob Hughes, Acting CEO at the LI, said: “We look forward to partnering with oomi in our IT transformation journey. Their expertise and sector pedigree speak for itself and will help to establish a modern and inclusive Digital Home for the LI’s membership and staff team.”
Neelam Sheemar added: “Already, the oomi team has been very engaging with and provided a thorough timelines and communication framework.”
Joel Trotman, Director of Sales at oomi, said “It’s fantastic to have the opportunity to work with such a prestigious organisation such as the Landscape Institute. As long-term suppliers to the membership sector, we know how important a great working relationship is to deliver the benefits of new technology, and we look forward to building on the partnership that we have already established with the Institute.”
