British Pest Control Association (BPCA), the professional association for the UK public health pest management industry, has recently agreed a 5-year contract to partner with oomi to provide its new membership management CRM.
BPCA represents over 730 member companies employing over 4,200 technicians predominantly in the UK, and currently employs 22 members of staff. It aims to promote professional pest management, represent the industry, and drive standards and ethics while protecting the environment. A key role of BPCA is the annual assessment of over 550 servicing members whose membership is earned, not bought.
“We were looking for a CRM that would become a single source of truth for the organisation and that would support us in automating business processes and reducing manual interventions,” said Scott Johnstone, BPCA’s Marketing, Technology and Communications Manager.
A key requirement for BPCA was to own their processes, automations and reports. “We wanted a system where the tools are flexible enough so that if we can imagine it, we can create within the ecosystem,” added Johnstone. ”oomi presented the most flexible, featureful, user-customisable membership software we found in our extensive research.”
BPCA has strict membership requirements requiring it to be able to process and analyse information across companies and individuals. It also has a diverse range of income streams and services. This resulted in a long and drawn-out selection and requirements gathering process.
“oomi has gently maintained a relationship with BPCA for 2 years now. Our impressions are that they’re incredibly diligent, fair and deeply understand trade associations. They appear to understand our technology stack and our current pain points. They were the first choice of provider unanimously by all members of the BPCA senior team” observed Johnstone.
oomi will be replacing their existing system with oomi CRM, the modern cloud-based membership management solution which will become the central platform for all services and includes CRM, Membership, Events, Finance and Committees modules. oomi will also be working with Senior, BPCA’s existing tech partner, to integrate the existing website using oomi’s REST API tools.
Johnstone concluded: “They have worked very hard to deeply understand our requirements. We have high hopes that this project will meet and exceed our expectations.”
Joel Trotman, Director of Sales at oomi, commented: “It is very rewarding to see BPCA put their faith and trust in us for such an important and complex project. This is confirmation of the flexibility, adaptability, and deep functionality that oomi offers. We look forward to building on the relationship we have developed with them over the past 2 years and deliver a successful partnership.”
