We’re delighted to announce that the Political Studies Association (PSA) has turned to oomi to deliver new membership technology to support their new strategic plan.
The PSA (www.psa.ac.uk) exists to develop and promote the study of politics. Founded in 1950, it has an international membership including academics in political science and current affairs, theorists and practitioners, policymakers, researchers and students in higher education.
The PSA is embarking on a new ambitious strategic plan, and recognised that their core membership CRM, content management system (CMS) and digital technology needed updating to meet the demanding needs of the new strategy,
“After an extensive pitch process and team evaluation, oomi emerged as the clear front-runner for our new digital system”, explained Eva Kestner, Head of Operations & Finance, PSA. “As a membership-focused CRM, oomi offers a subscription-based, off-the-shelf solution designed specifically for organisations like PSA. Their system’s modular approach meant that they had features that align perfectly with our needs and make changes at our pace.”
The PSA will be implementing the oomi membership CRM with key modules to support membership management, events and finance. This will be integrated with a new website and content management system (CMS), developed by the oomi digital services team, along with a member portal to enable member self-service.
Kestner added “Beyond the technology, oomi’s approach to customer support and training stood out. Their commitment to user-experience, integration, and long-term support means we can confidently manage and evolve our systems over time. With a strong emphasis on upskilling and self-administration, they empower organisations to take ownership of their digital presence.”
“For PSA, choosing oomi was about more than just software—it was about finding a partner that understands the unique needs of membership organisations and provides a scalable, future-proof solution. The teams are very knowledgeable and responsive and have been really helpful in refining our thinking. We’re excited to work with them on this next stage of our digital transformation.”
Joel Trotman, Director of Sales at oomi, commented: “We welcome the PSA and look forward to working closely with them on this important project. We place a huge emphasis on having a flexible, partnership approach and it is great to see PSA value this and put their faith in us.”
