Role
As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in gathering requirements and defining work for various projects and sprints. You will quickly become a product expert, establishing strong relationships with client stakeholders and developing credibility as a trusted digital partner.
Your role will be client-facing, working primarily with development and testing teams to ensure that solution designs are feasible and the final product meets initial requirements. You will also collaborate with the project management team, contributing to the creation of project proposals, user stories, prioritisation, planning, and work estimation. Additionally, you will be responsible for the commercial success of projects and work packages.
You will have to build a strong understanding of the product and the industry, be capable of conducting discovery workshops to gather requirements, perform product Fit-Gap analysis, discuss identified gaps with the delivery team, translate the gathered requirements into a prototype, produce the Confirmation of Requirements document, and act as a liaison between the project manager and the delivery team
Key attributes for this role include confidence, knowledge, and attention to detail. You will be involved in client workshops, requirements gathering, solution design, work definition, and documentation of specifications. During the project lifecycle, you will ensure requirement traceability and manage the scope effectively. You will also work closely with the product team to stay updated on the product roadmap and release playbacks, providing input where customer needs require changes to the core product.
Your role will include expanding the use of our products and services through your guidance and recommendations to clients.
Responsibilities
As Business Analyst, you will:
- Act as the liaison between the client, delivery team, and project manager.
- Become a product expert and maintain expertise in oomi® products.
- Lead clients through discovery sessions and workshops
- Understand the client’s business and objectives.
- Capture client requirements and objectives.
- Perform product Fit-Gap analysis
- Help the team to configure a prototype, and present it to the client
- Produce the Confirmation of Requirements document and get it signed
- Scope and produce well-designed, documented custom solutions based on discovery session outputs.
- Act as a liaison between the project manager and the delivery team
- Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle and ongoing client work.
- Advise on the correct handling of sensitive data (e.g., what we will and won’t store, best practices).
- Identify business/project risks and communicate these to the Project Manager.
- Deliver client playbacks and support relevant training for all aspects of custom solutions and oomi®’s product offering.
- Provide guidance during solution conflicts, recommending the best course of action.
- Coordinate solutions across the project, ensuring all consultants and team members align on the overall solution.
- Flag change requests that deviate from the original scope.
- Define custom requirements using JIRA tasks or user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Brief internal delivery and support teams on requirements.
- Deliver added-value consultancy services that improve client business outcomes.
- Adopt oomi®’s consultancy practices and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Train, mentor, and guide Client Services Managers (CSMs) who act as Junior Consultants.
- Apply product knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues.
- Identify opportunities for product or process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Work with the wider team to develop user stories for new product features.
- Ensure alignment with the Solutions team lead to meet strategic and commercial objectives.
- Collaborate with Support and Delivery teams to triage, scope, and cost new client-initiated change requests.
- Provide input to the creation of success stories with the Sales & Marketing team.
- Empower clients to optimise their applications through continuous digital roadmap development.
- Provide client insights, product feedback, and identify trending issues for internal teams.
- Identify opportunities to offer additional consultancy services that enhance clients’ business transformation outcomes.
Qualifications / Skills / Experience Requirements
You will need to have:
- A passion for delivering high-quality client solutions.
- At least 3 years of experience in a Consultancy, Business Analyst, Account Management, or similar role (preferably in a Technology/SaaS environment).
- Strong knowledge of digital platforms including CMS, CRM, and event technology.
- Expertise in digital transformation and the use of tools (e.g., Miro, Visio) and best practices (e.g., user experience, design thinking, experience mapping, wireflows).
- Ability to navigate complexity and quickly grasp new concepts and systems.
- Aptitude for building and maintaining sustainable relationships.
- Exceptional communication and listening skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
- Experience working with technical development teams.
- Ability to assist clients in setting objectives and prioritising goals.
- Organised, collaborative, and commercially aware.
- A fast learner, willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Strong initiative and a creative approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent multi-tasking ability with a strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of associations and member-based organisations (preferred).
- Experience managing and setting budgets (desirable but not essential).
- Experience working in a digital agency or consultancy (desirable but not essential).
