The British Franchise Association (BFA), the UK’s largest and longest-standing franchise trade association, has chosen oomi to provide its new membership management system to support growth and enhance their members’ experience.
The BFA’s mission is to provide an educational space and accreditations that are governed by high standards and ethics. The BFA’s influence is international through its membership of the European Franchise Federation and World Franchise Council.
The organisation realised that their current CRM was no longer fit for purpose and unable to support their growth ambitions.
“Our existing CRM is not tailored for our specific needs and integration with other applications is not an easy process, so we are not using it appropriately, if at all in some areas,“ Jo Stannard, Project Manager at the BFA, explained.
“Spreadsheets have become a staple in the business, which means the reliance on numerous data points and manual reporting methods is not only inefficient but is also hindering our potential for growth. So, it was time for a big change!”
oomi will be implementing the oomi CRM membership management system, including functionally-rich modules to support relationship management, membership management, events, finance integration with Xero, and case management to handle inbound enquiries. Members will be able to self-serve through the oomi members’ web portal to reduce administration time for the BFA team and improve member satisfaction.
oomi was chosen based on its extensive experience working with similar membership associations.
“The oomi team clearly understand the complex relationships involved, and they provide the flexibility to customise the system to meet our current requirements as well as adapt to our evolving needs. This not only will benefit our organisation but will also enhance the experience of our members.” said Stannard.
“The oomi team have been very efficient to date and have instilled the partnership approach which we were looking for. The project plan has been clearly laid out and is transparent, the BFA team are looking forward to working together over the coming months.”
Joel Trotman, Director of Sales, at oomi commented: “We welcome the BFA who join over a score of new customers who have selected to use our solutions in the past couple of years. We’re proud that our membership focus and dedication to the sector is recognised, and look forward to working closely with the BFA team to help them realise their ambitions.”
